Geocache Description:

A nice quick hike through one of Plymouth's best-kept secrets!

Cache Details

This cache is hidden in one our favorite city parks, in our old hometown of Plymouth - we love the trails here, especially in the wintertime! With a boardwalk, fishing pier, picnic shelter, large children's play structure, and endless trails through the woods, there's a lil' something here for everyone...and now there's a cache for you to find as well!

Location, Parking, and Access

Three Ponds Park is tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood, near the intersection of Bass Lake Road and 169. There's more than one way to access the park, but I recommend that you take Zachary Lane to 55th Avenue N or 53rd Avenue N...both roads lead to Union Terrace Lane, where you'll find free legal street parking at N 45° 03.113 W 093° 24.800. There's no parking lot, but there's a cutout there for two or three cars, and it's conveniently located right next to the trailhead as well.

You'll most likely find a good assortment of muggles and canines roaming the trails here, so some stealth will be in order - and many of the dogs will be off-leash as well. This is a good cache to bring your geo-puppy along for some exercise, but might be a bad one if you don't like dogs. You are looking for a 6.8-cup Lock 'n Lock container, hidden in a winter-friendly hiding spot - if you rehide it as well or better than you found it, this cache should be pretty muggle-resistant. As always - thanks, have fun, and happy hunting!
