Geocache Description:

Whatever way you approach, this one's a challenge.

The Bluestack Mountains in south Donegal are both beautiful and wild.
Do not attempt this cache unless you are competent in navigation and fit enough for several hours of very steep and unforgiving terrain. It goes without saying that you must be properly equipped. You should plan your route using OSI Discovery series map, sheet 11.
The cache, only large enough for small swap items, is situated within easy reach of the WWII crash site of Sunderland DW-110. A memorial plaque can be found at N54*45.377 W008*04357, (if you visit this site, please treat it with the respect it deserves).
The plane, part of Squadron 228, based in Pembrooke Dock, Wales crashed at 1145pm on 31/1/1944 having been diverted to Castle Archdale base in County Fermanagh due to bad weather in Wales. Seven of the twelve crew members were killed. (further details can be found at www.donegaltown.ie)
