Geocache Description:

The first SGDO of 2006 will take place on Saturday, 28th January

The aim of the event is as usual, to meet up, have something to eat, have a few drinks and of course swap TB’s and have a good old chat about the ins and out of Geocaching. Haggis Hunter and Big Wolf will be putting a few caches out for the event, which will stay in place afterwards.

The Muttonhole, The Lions Den, Ancient Almond Moorings, Way up high

We are aiming to have the above caches on the site for viewing, on the night of the 26th January and as is customary, these will be disabled and will not go active or be in place until 09:30am on the day of the event. Don’t worry there will still be plenty of time for you to go and find them before arriving at Lauriston Farm!

The meeting time at Lauriston Farm will be at 1pm. The Farm is a Brewers Fayre establishment and encourages family visits. Click here to get location details.

As well as the usual food/Drink at the event Team Incredible will be organising a raffle and we also are planning to hold a quiz as well.

I was discussing the event with my own children and they both suggested (demanded) that if all the 'big people' were to be talking for AGES then they would need something to keep them interested. This side of the event is still being planned and so far it looks like there will be something for the under ten's and something slightly different for those ten and over.

Whilst the tables at Lauriston Farm can't be booked, the manager has said, that he will give us the area, just to the left as you go into the seating area. Based on last years numbers this area should be of a sufficient size but could you please send Big Wolf an email (click here) with details of who will be attending with you. Please include your Geocaching name and the names of all the people in your group which will allow us to make sure the area is big enough and to make up name tags.

It will be great to meet up with all of you and I am looking forward to the event already.
