Gina en Reimer: Het is mooi geweest. Onderhoud is bijna net meer mogelijk en door de komst van de mobile phone generatie die ook mee is gaan doen met deze fananische hobby, maar klagen over vieze handen en voeten, is het leuk vertoppen van een cache ook net meer mogelijk...laat een ander het pontje naar de overkant maar gebruiken voor een newe cache.
Alle mensen de "aan de overkant" hebben gezocht bedankt en cele ook bedankt oor de leuke logs...

Geocache Description:

De cache bevindt zich het dorpspark Buitenloof (Avenhorn). Dit park, 20 ha groot, is ontstaan in 1989 en wordt natuurvriendelijk beheerd. Er is een bosgedeelte en naast de vaart loopt een wandel/fietspad van west naar oost. In 1997 is het park uitgebreid met een moerasgedeelte. Het water dat het park binnenstroomt wordt eerst op natuurlijke wijze gezuiverd in een rietmoeras.

De wandeling naar de cache is ca. 2,5 km lang. Tijdens de wandeling kom je o.a. langs beschermde Daliegaten die in de 11e of 12e eeuw ontstaan zijn.

At the other side

The cache is hidden in the village park Buitenloof (Avenhorn). This park, of about 50 acres, originates from 1989 and is run in an organic manner. Part is a forest and there is a hiking and cycling path next to the canal from west to east. In 1997 the park was extended with a marsh. The water that comes into the park is first cleared organically in the reed marsh.

The walk to the cache is about 2.5 km (1.55mi.). During this walk you will pass, amongst other things, some protected “Daliegaten” that were made in the 11th or 12th century.
