Si vous êtes quand même venu en voiture, garer-là au N48º34.095 E007º43.817 (relais P+R Elsau). Ici, le stationnement pour la journée, plus un billet aller-retour sur le tram pour tous les occupant du véhicule ne coûte que 4,10 Euros (attention, ce ticket n'est pas valable pour les correspondances vers les bus).
Vous allez prendre la ligne F jusqu'à la station "Place d'Islande". A certaines stations, il faut descendre pour relever quelques informations.
À "Musée d'Art Moderne", vous cherchez le nombre (ab) de panneaux de publicité qui sont rattachés aux abris des passagers.
À "Homme de Fer" (attention, c'est une grande station avec plusieurs lignes), il vous faut le nombre de petits bornes qui servent (uniquement) à valider des tickets - voir photo. Ne pas compter les points de validation qui se trouvent dans 2 des colonnes où on vend les tickets. Il faut soustraire 2 de ce nombre de bornespour obtenir cd.
À "Université", trouver le nombre de lumières (ef) installées dans l'ensemble des quais pour en marquer le bord.
Profiter du temps de terminer le voyage pour calculer: g=a+b, h=d+f-c. La cache se trouve au N48º34.gec E007º46.bhd.
La cache consiste en une petite boîte en plastique camouflée, environ 10x7x7cm. Je regrette un peu sa taille modeste (une multicache vaut une boîte à munitions, je trouve!), mais en ville on doit aussi prendre en compte la nécessité de rester discret. Attention aux spectateurs pendant vos recherches!
(English) Strasbourg is proud of its modern tramway system. The cars look like the sort of thing I used to see in books about "The City of the Future" when I was a child. This cache will take you on a trip along line F. You can find out more about the tramway at the site of the local transport company, CTS. (Warning: the site is in French only, and uses a lot of Flash and pop-ups.)
If you come by car, park it at the Elsau P+R station, at N48º34.095 E007º43.817. Here you can park your car all day, and get a ticket valid for a return trip on the tram for everybody in the car, for just €4.10. (Note that, unlike standard CTS tickets, this one isn't valid for transfers to city buses.)
Take line F from Elsau to Place d'Islande. Along the way, you will need to get out to look for some information. If you're very quick, you'll be able to get back on the same tram, but please be careful!
At "Musée d'Art Moderne", the number of advertising panels attached to the passenger shelters is ab.
At "Homme de Fer", count the number of small columns containing a machine used to validate a ticket (see photo). Make sure you find all of them - it's a big station with lines in several directions. But don't count the machines which are built into 2 of the big columns (where you can also buy a ticket). Subtract 2 from the number of ticket machines to get cd.
At "Université", the number of lights which are incorporated into the platforms (to mark the edges) is ef.
Calculate: g=a+b, h=d+f-c. The cache is at N48º34.gec E007º46.bhd.
You are looking for a small plastic box with camouflage tape, about 10x7x7cm. I would have liked to have placed something a bit larger for a multi, but in town, you have to be discreet. The first cache box which I placed disappeared within a week, so I've now hidden it "even better". Watch out for muggles while you're searching.
