sparris: All right, I give up. There's never enough time and I just couldn't find a proper hiding place under the bridge as the old one has become unsuitable due to geoerosion. Perhaps it's best to release this location for new ideas.

An easy basic cache near a large highway bridge.

Helppo peruskätkö lähellä isoa maantiesiltaa.
Heinolan Tähti, or The Star of Heinola is the name of the second longest highway bridge in Finland. The bridge was built to ease the traffic jams of Heinola which were caused by one of the main roads of Finland going practically through the centre of the town. It was the longest bridge in Finland at the time of completion in 1993. It spans a length of 924 metres over the lake Ruotsalainen and it is supported by two pylons of 105 metres in height. Now it is the second longest after the bridge in Raippaluoto.
This cache is located somewhere near the northern end of the bridge. It is forbidden to stop your car on the motorway so please don’t. The cache is not on the motorway. There’s an easy path for pedestrians to the location of the cache from the nearby service station Tähtihovi on both sides of the road.
The cache is a plastic urine sample can (unused) slightly larger than a film canister. It is watertight if closed properly - please close the cap tightly. It is also possible, although a bit more difficult, to find the cache during winter.

Heinolan Tähti on Suomen toiseksi pisimmän maantiesillan nimi. Silta rakennettiin helpottamaan Heinolan ruuhkia, jotka aiheutti erään Suomen päätien kulkeminen käytännössä kaupungin keskustan halki. Se oli valmistuessaan vuonna 1993 Suomen pisin silta. Se ylittää Ruotsalaisen 924 metrin matkalla ja sen tukena on kaksi 105 metriä korkeaa pylonia. Nyt se on toiseksi pisin Raippaluodon sillan jälkeen.
Kätkö on jossain lähellä sillan pohjoispäätä. Auton pysäyttäminen moottoritielle on kielletty, joten älä tee niin. Kätkö ei ole moottoritiellä. Kätköpaikalle on helppo päästä jalkaisin molemmilla puolilla tietä sijaitsevalta Tähtihovin huoltoasemalta.
Kätkö on muovinen virtsanäytepurkki (käyttämätön), joka on hieman filmipurkkia suurempi. Se on kunnolla suljettuna vesitiivis - ole hyvä ja sulje korkki tiiviisti. Kätkön voi löytää myös talvella, mutta se on hieman hankalampaa.
