Geocache Description:

Walking On Water

The title "Walking on Water" comes from the view from the shore side of West Kirby Marine Lake, where when the tide is in, it looks like the people walking around the far side of the lake are walking on water.

The yellow objects floating on the lake, in the picture of the lake above, are plastic Ducks that are taking part in the charity Duck Race that takes place here every September. Under normal conditions you will only find boats and real ducks on the lake.

Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to have your picture taken by the web cam pointing at the lake. To prove it is you in the picture, you must be photographed by the web cam holding your GPS. You must upload the picture with your log entry. Failure to do so will result in your log being removed.

The web cam can be found at www.wirralcam.org. The camera has a view across the lake. The camera takes a picture every minute.

You can "phone a friend" and get them to right mouse click on the image and save it, the owners www.wirralcam.org has kindly given permission for the images to be used for Geocaching purposes) or if you have a web enabled phone you can get it yourself through your phone.

www.wirralcam.com have other webcam sites. The web cam at Leasowe Light House is a sister Geocache to this one (GCMZ57). The other two sites on the Wirral are not available for Geocaching purposes.

Thanks to Steve at Camserv for giving permission to use their webcam.

We hope you enjoy your visit.
