Paul G0TLG: Oops - sorry folks. Checked the area at New Year and thought I'd archived the cache. Must've had one beer too many!

At first glance this one looks like a vacation cache, but my good
chums Jenny and Chris live a quarter of a mile away and have
promised to check on the cache and do any maintenance. The Erewash
Canal towpath makes a lovely walk with bird and animal life to look
at
The cache is hidden in a low bush in an area of rough ground
alongside the towpath of the Erewash Canal. I've listed it as a
letterbox hybrid because you'll almost certainly need the "helper"
pictures to find it, as there are approximately two million, one
hundred and forty thousand, two hundred and seventy eight possible
hiding places to check out.
There are paths to the cache location from the canal towpath and
also from the car park of the Asda supermarket.
The initial cache contents include a couple of magnetic pick-up
tools, a small Teddy bear, a pocket torch and of course a log book!
Take pictures one and two with you, you can line them up and check
you're in the right place. The spoiler slows Chris pointing at the
hiding place, which is eight paces from the edge of the rushes.
Hint one - the view from the cache location
Hint two - another view from the cache location!
Spoiler
- Chris points to the cache hidey-hole
