This Cache is located within Katherine Abbott Park in Mahtomedi. The terrain is relativly good, but you do traverse the park and there are some relativly steep hills, but its nothing that should cause any problems.
Thanks for visiting our first GeoCache. This cache was named for my daughter’s taste of adventure. The cache is a 50Cal Ammo Box located within Katherine Abbott Park in Mahtomedi. My daughter wanted to give people a tour of the park and the places she likes to visit when we go walking there so we made this a Multi-Cache that takes you through different parts of the park. By no means do we cover all corners of the park so feel free to go off on your own adventure during your visit. Also remember to visit the other cache (GC2020) in the park while you are here.
I have classified this as a 4-Star in difficulty because of the numerous waypoints and a 2.5-Star in Terrain because of a few areas you need to cross. Give me some feedback on the ratings and I will adjust if necessary. Several of the landmarks that you need to find are low to the ground and may be difficult to find during the winter months depending on snowfall. If necessary I will consider adjusting the waypoints to make this a year-round cache. I would suggest you bring a notepad to keep track of the coordinates. The math is easy, but I do reuse clues from one waypoint to the next so I would suggest writing notes at each waypoint.
