Geocache Description:

Ever wondered how GPS really works? To locate this cache you will have to triangulate like your handheld GPS.

My first cache, so I kept it close to home. The park had less hiding spots than I would have liked, so I added in another element. The first stage is at the posted coordinates and will give you the materials needed to find the second stage, which only has a log (micro, though larger than some). Difficulty rating has been upped to three because of all the DNF's, but terrain lowered to one since it's not on the playground anymore. Instructions:
(1) Find the first stage at the posted coordinates. DO NOT log a find until you find the second stage. Small items can be traded in this stage. Make sure you close it tight when you find it.
(2) Like a real GPS, you need to look for satellites to orient yourself. The satellites tell you how far away you are, and with these distances you can plot your position. In this case, they are the three closest park benches. Record the number you find at each bench. These numbers represent millimeters on the location sheets. The bench that is farthest from the others (south) is a way to double-check yourself when you end up with a letter later.
(3) Use the materials found at the first stage to triangulate your location on the sheets provided. (Your GPS would use math to do the same thing.) Look up the coordinates that correspond to the letter you located and find the final stage! Once you sign the second log, you can log a find.
(4) Please return all materials to the first stage, minus the sheet of paper you worked with.

Use caution, there are sometimes many muggles around! (some of whom already found the ex-last stage, and the ex-ex-last stage, AND the ex-first stage) All parts of the cache need to remain secret for it to be operational. Sign the log somewhere away from the final so you are not obvious. Parking is 10 feet away from the first coordinates. If you have one at hand, and/or cannot connect dots to draw circles, a compass (for drawing circles) may be useful. As this is my first cache, any criticism is welcome. Although there are fewer muggles at the new final, discretion is still required.
