Somewhere Over the Turnpike... Traditional Geocache
jkibbe: The cache container is missing and I don't plan on replacing. It's been a long run for this cache (since 2005)...! Thanks for all who made the journey into the woods to find it! :)

The Gunter Valley Reservoir, near Roxbury, is a source of drinking water for the residents of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The area surrounding the reservoir is open to the public for recreation, and there is a parking lot providing access just off of PA Route 641 (near 40 07.399N, 077 40.928W).
The cache is in an ammo box just over 2 miles from the parking area and is somehow located directly above the PA Turnpike without the help of a bridge or smoke and mirrors. It is a pretty rigorous hike to get to the cache, with a few steep hills. Besides hiking, one can also reach the cache with a mountain bike or horse. Enjoy!
The cache is NOT accessible from the PA Turnpike (I-76)!
Original cache contents include a camo bandana, a National Guard hat, a toy parachute, a PSU lanyard, a pack of baseball cards, a No Show Ponies CD (local band), a "Save the Bay" sticker, a big bouncy ball, a geocaching goodies CD (installers, maps, podcasts, and more), a white Jeep Travel Bug, and a "first to find" gift.
