Bridging the Murray
Located 86 km south of Perth on
the banks of the Murray River, Pinjarra is a small town which lies
only a few kilometres from the substantial coastal centres of
Mandurah and Rockingham. It is thought that the name 'pinjarra' is
a corruption of the Aboriginal word 'beenjarrup' meaning 'place of
the swamp'.
