KM 3,5 - 1 ora e 30’ - Difficoltà media - Segnavia: striscia rossa su striscia bianca.
Per evitare spiacevoli sorprese: Per questo sentiero è previsto il pagamento. Nel 2016 sono €7.5 a testa.
Il pagamento è previsto nella medio-alta stagione. Noi, che non riusciamo a concepire di dover pagare per un sentiero, veniamo qui nel mese di Gennaio. Quindi, cari amici Geocachers, se non volete pagare, venite qui in bassa stagione, altrimenti pagate ma non vi lamentate ;-).
Il sentiero parte dalla zona orientale del paese di Monterosso, in località Fegina. Uscendo dalla stazione ferroviaria si prende il lungomare a sinistra, si supera il tunnel costeggiando il mare, si passa quindi oltre la piccola spiaggia, raggiungendone l'altra estremità nei pressi di un ristorante: qui comincia la salita pedonale che porta ad un Hotel. In prossimità dell’albergo si prosegue a destra, scendendo alcuni gradini.
Terminato un breve tratto in pianura, una scala ed un altro tratto pianeggiante, si raggiunge il posto di controllo biglietti del parco, dove chi è sprovvisto di biglietto dovrà acquistarlo.
Comincia poi una serie di scalini che attraversano coltivazioni di vite e agrumi. Per i temerari che riescono a finire la salita si apre uno stupendo panorama su Monterosso. Il sentiero continua pianeggiante, anche se in moltissimi punti molto stretto e senza protezione dal lato mare. Quando si incrociano le persone che procedono in senso opposto, spesso occorre cercare la posizione giusta. Non è assolutamente pericoloso ma occorre comunque prestare un po’ di attenzione, soprattutto se si hanno bambini. Alcuni tratti sono larghi e tranquilli e dall'alto si vede quasi sempre il mare. Comincia ad intravedersi da lontano Vernazza e la vista della costa in lontananza è indimenticabile.
Dopo aver scovato il contenitore dal suo nascondiglio oscuro, godetevi la splendida camminata.

Firstly, to avoid unpleasant surprises: For this path you're expected to pay. In 2016 the fee was about € 7.5 each, in mid and high season.
Since we do not conceive having to pay for a path, we come here in January.
So, dear geocaching fellows, if you do not want to pay, come here in the off season, otherwise be advised, thank you.
The trail starts from the eastern part of the village of Monterosso, in the locality named Fegina. Leaving the train station just take the boardwalk to the left, cross the tunnel along the sea.
After walking on a short flat stretch, a stoned stairway and another flat stretch, you will reach the place where you'll be asked to show your ticket. Those who haven't one , can buy it here.
Payment is expected only in mid and high season.
Since we cannot conceive that one has to pay for walking on a hiking path, we come here in January.
So, dear geocaching fellows, if you do not want to pay for the trail, you have all our comprehension: Just come here in the off season.
Now the trail starts with some series of steps that cross vineyards and lemon plantations. Once you managed the climb you will be awarded with a wonderful view of Monterosso.
The trail continues flat, although in many points very narrow and without protection from the sea side. When you cross the persons conducting in the opposite direction, often you need to seek the right position to pass one next to the other. It is absolutely not dangerous, but you must still pay a little attention, especially if you have children. Some sections are wide and comfortable and you always have a great view on the sea.
Then you will start to catch the sight of Vernazza , the main goal of this hike, but don't forget to stop sometimes to enjoy the view of the coastline. It's unforgettable.
To find the cache, you might shortly stop admiring nature. Just leave the path, access the dark and muggle-free hiding spot and grab it.
