Geocache Description:

This is a simple cache to commemorate one of the high lights of my 2005 Oregon vacation and thank all the Portland geocachers who planted the many caches I found while in this area.

This cache is located at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. It is wheelchair accessable but may be a bit difficult for someone in a wheelchair to reach.

I wanted to place it where people would have a good view of the USS Blueback, the last diesel attack submarine built for the USN, but keeping it 500 feet from the other cache I knew was in the area prevented this so after locating the USS Blueback cache be sure to walk behind the OMSI and take a look at the real thing.

This cache is being maintained by and old friend of mine who lives in West Linn but is currently working in Waldport. By a strange coincidence it turns out that his brother in-law served on the USS Blueback.
