reedla: I believe the cache may have disappeared. Presently I am recovering from a back operation and cannot do any cache maintenance for several months. This cache has had a nice long run, so it's time to archive it and let someone else place a cache in this area.

Geocache Description:

A short hike down from the Green in Sherman.

Park on the Sherman Green near the hardware store at N41 34.779 W73 29.890. The trail head is behind some trees right where the driveway goes up to Town Hall, at N41 34.770 W73 29.901. The Trail runs about .4 miles through the woods and comes out on Route 39 behind the Historical Society Barn at N41 34.652 W73 29.930 (across from the old General Store). That end (south end) of the trail is acutally a nicer hike -- I urge you all to follow the trail past the cache, to Route 39 and back. Nice walk. The cache is a Tupperware container about 6" in diameter.
