Tervetuloa rauhalliseen Jakomäkeen. Tämä kätkö on piilossa
Jakomäen lounaisosassa sijaitsevassa Kaivantopuistossa. Puisto
sijoittuu juuri Lahdentien ja Porvoonväylän väliseen kulmaan.
Puiston keskellä kalliolla oleva näköalapaikka on yksi Helsingin
korkeimmista paikoista, ja siitä avautuu näköala länteen, Malmin
lentokenttää päin.
Puistossa on myös ensimmäisen maailmansodan aikaisia venäläisten
rakennuttamia linnoitusvallituksia ja juoksuhautoja. Nämä
linnoitusjäänteet ovat osa Krepost Sveaborg - linnoitusta, jotka
esitellään tarkemmin Ossin ja Surrerin kätkösarjassa.
Kaivantopuiston linnoitukset ovat osaa tukikohtaa IV, joka pääosin
sijaitsee Porvoonväylän toisella puolella Kivikossa. Sitä aluetta
esittelee erittäin hyvin Surrerin kätkö Krepost
Sveaborg IV.
Paikalle pääsee keskustasta bussilla 77, Kaadekujan pysäkiltä
kätkölle on vajaa 100 m kävely. Kätkö on 0,75 litran Rubbermaid -
pakasterasia. OLE VAROVAINEN etsiessäsi sitä: kalliot voivat
olla liukkaat, ja paikalla olevat juoksuhaudat ovat
aluskasvillisuuden peitossa, joten katso eteesi eikä pelkästään
GPSn ruutua :)
Welcome to the peaceful suburb of Jakomäki. This cache is hidden
in the park Kaivantopuisto, located in the southeastern part of
Jakomäki. The park is located in the corner between the motorways
E75 and E18. On the cliff in the middle of the park is a spot with
a scenic view westwards, towards Malmi airport.
There are also ruins of fortifications in the park. These
fortifications and trenches were designed by the Russians during
the First World War – period. These are part of the Krepost
Sveaborg – fortification, which is more closely presented in the
cacheserie made by Ossi and Surreri. The fortifications in this
park are part of base IV, which otherwise is mostly located to the
south of E18. That area is very well presented in Surreri’s cache
Krepost
Sveaborg IV.
You can get here from the city centre by taking the bus 77 to
the Kaadekuja bus stop and walk about 100 m. The container is a
0,75 l Rubbermaid – box. BE CAREFUL when searching for it;
the cliffs can be slippery and the trenches are partly covered by
the underbrush, so look where you’re going and not just at the
screen of your GPS :)
