Chef Buoy Ardee: An Underwater Cache Traditional Geocache

This is an underwater geocache. To get to the cache, you can park in the visitors parking spot at the campground and walk from there to the campground’s beach. You must be a decent swimmer to be able to reach it. The cache is hidden in a Nalgene bottle at a depth of 7 to 10 feet, depending on the water level. We have been told that a Nalgene bottle will not leak underwater, even if it is under water for a year. One person I called to ask said he even puts his valuables in one when he scuba dives. However, if sand or grit gets into the threads of the lid it will wear it away and then it will leak. So, please make sure that you clean all dirt out from the lid. Also, please put it back as close as you can to the spot where you found it. We had to fill the container with rocks to keep the container from floating up, so there is no room for trade items.
