More than any other tree, Moreton Bay Figs look like they're about to open eyes on their trunks, pick up their roots and walk away like the Ents in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
Maybe it's their size. Maybe it's the hanging aerial roots reaching down like arms and the way their trunks are rippled like muscles under skin.
You won't need to climb to find this cache, but there are plenty of nooks and crannies where it could be. Be gentle, the Tolkien Tree is very old.
Note: The original Tolkien Tree was cut down in July 2011 for no apparent reason and nothing remains, not even a stump. Poor tree! :-(
EDIT... Again...
The cache was muggled so I convieniently replaced it with a nano near the original tree. Look for some great flora here and enjoy the domain.
