Parken kann man am Straßenrand bei N 50° 44.339 E 006° 02.978.
Wir gehen über die Brücke (im Norden sieht man hier den Buschtunnel bzw. den Neubau dieses Tunnels für den Thalys, im Süden sah man bis vor kurzem eine Brücke, mit deren Hilfe die Züge vom deutschen Rechtsfahrverkehr auf den belgischen Linksfahrverkehr umgestellt wurden) bis zum
WP 1: N 50° 44.286 E 006° 03.039
Auf Schmugglerpfaden geht es jetzt zum
WP 2: N 50° 43.940 E 006° 02.805
Nicht dem idyllischen Angelteich gilt unser Interesse, sondern einem Revierstein mit den Ziffern ABX. (X wird nicht für die Rechnung benötigt!)
Weiter geht es bis zu
WP 3: N 50° 43.682 E 006° 02.766
Hier haben wir den Aachener Landgraben erreicht, der im Mittelalter die Stadt in einer Länge von 68,8 km umschloss und schützte.
Wir gehen im oder neben dem Landgraben bis zum
WP 4: N 50° 43.575 E 006° 02.987
Der prächtige alte Baum rechts vom Weg verdient unsere Aufmerksamkeit, rechts daneben am Zaun findet man den wichtigen Hinweis für die Ost-Koordinate: Ein Wort mit 6 Buchstaben (A=1, B=2,C=3 usw.)
Weiter geht es über

Cross the bridge (to the north you see the old Buschtunnel and the construction for the new tunnel, to the south there was a (now removed) bridge that allowed the trains to change the rails: in Germany trains drive on the right, in Belgium on the left side!) up to

You have reached the Landgraben, a ditch between two earth barriers, protecting Aachen in the Middle Ages.
Walk through or beside the Landgraben to

Admire the great old tree to the right, on the wooden fence you will read the important hint for the East coordinate - a word with six letters. (A=1, B=2, C=3 aso.)
Walk on to a bench at
WP 5: N 50° 43.962 E 006° 03.169
