Take I-40 east of Albuq. to exit 175 go North on Rt. 14 about 6 miles turn left [EAST] on Rt. 536 Crest Highway. Continue up the road to the Trail Head & parking area located, @ N35 11.632 W106 24.287.
I use RT/FR165 off of exit 242 on I-25
Follow The Tree Spring Trail @ N35 11.524 W106 24.501 you will come to a sign that will keep you on the Trail.
Continue on the trail thru Beautiful Blue Spruce with some Large Ponderosa Pines, Aspens & Fir Trees, until you come to a Junction of Four Trails @ N35 11.236 W 106 25.256 Marked by Several Signs [See Photo]
NO BIKES the last few hundered feet.
At this junction you follow A trail a very short distance West to the cache, and a beautiful overlook, with high peaks/cliffs to your North & South. Great Spot for lunch and to enjoy.
The Cache is located at the base of a Pine Tree with some rocks around it The Pine Tree is located about 6 feet behind or East of the Bearing Pine. An Easy Find.

This is an easy 2 mile hike,elevation gain about 750 feet. NO LOOSE SCREE ON THE TRAIL & Plenty of Shade.
Family Friendly;
As we enjoyed are lunch, A family with an 8 month old baby a 4 year old daughter and sons 6 & 9 Along with Grandma Joined us at the TOP.
The 3.0 Terrain rating may be a bit high. Perhaps a 2.75??
Cache is an .30 caliber ammo box with the oifficial
green geocaching sticker attached.
Contents: Many writing sticks A Log Book, a rain poncho, AA battries A bottle of Water. and some other goodies.
