Geocache Description:

The cache is in Moshannon State Park where there is a lot of facilities for the whole family. In the summer you can swim in the lake. Besides, there is also an environmental center, picnic area, and trails for hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and bicycling. There is even a church for Sunday morning services. It might be a good idea to find the Park office and get a map of the area with the trails. Park at N40° 55.115, W078° 03.580. Continue on the road and hike up Rattlesnake Mountain using the red blazed Skislope Trail. After you are done with the cache, you can continue on the trail looking for bluebirds in the meadow and in the nestboxes. At N40° 55.190 W078° 02.980 you can enjoy the view down the old ski slope. The cache contains among other things a changing Zoo of plastic animals. You can take one animal and leave another. Cache placed with permission from DCNR to June 28, 2008.
