Cache lezi na zlute turisticke znacce, pobliz vyhlidky na Horni Planou.
The cache lies on yellow tourist sign , near the Horni Plana view.
Historie mesta:
Prvni pisemna zminka je z roku 1332. Puvodni majetek klastera Zlata Koruna, na mestecko povysena v roce 1349. Za husitskych valek se dostala podobne jako jine klasterni poddanske vesnice k panstvi Cesky Krumlov a zustala u neho az do zruseni poddanstvi.
Mesto lezi na brehu lipenské prehrady, v bizkosti lezi Olsina - nejvýše položený rybník v Cechach, okolim vede naucná stezka Adalberta Stiftera.
23. ríjna 1805 se v Horni Plane narodil spisovatel, basnik a malir Sumavy Adalbert Stifter. V lesoparku nad Horni Planou je Stifterova bronzová socha , na kostele nahrobni epitaf jeho matky. Ve skalni stene Plesneho jezera byl basniku Šumavy postaven zulovy obelisk.
History of town
The first written mention of the town is from 1332. The original owner is the Zlata Koruna Monastery, and received township status in 1349. During the Hussite wars this town, like other towns subject to the monastery, became the property of the Cesky Krumlov dominion and remained there until the end of feudalism.
The town lies on the shore of Lipno dam, and nearby lies Olsina - the highest situated lake in the Czech Republic. Around the lake lies an educational Adalbert Stifter´s Route.
On the 23rd of October in 1805 the writer, poet, and painter of Sumava Adalbert Stifter was born in Horni Plana. In the forest park above Horni Plana is a bronze statue of Stifter, and on the church is an epitaph of his mother. A granite obelisk of the poet of Sumava is mounted into the rock cliffs above Plesne Lake.
