Blatensky vrch (1043 m n.m.) , kupovitý vrchol 1,5 km severovýchodne od Horni Blatne, je soucasti Jachymovské hornatiny. Na vrcholu najdeme zulové skalni utvary a balvany, na svazich ojedinelé sute. Za zminku a navstevu stoji pozustatky stredoveke tezby cinu – Ledova jama (zbytek dolu Jiri) a Vlci jama (propadlina jednoho z nejvetsich dolu v oblasti – dolu Wolfgang). Z Horni Blatne vede na vrch naucna stezka, primo v mestecku je male Muzeum cinu. Rozhledna na vrchu ma vysku 21 m, je ze dreva a kamene a pochazi z roku 1913. Byla postavena Hornoblatenskym spolkem pro zimni sporty podle navrhu chebskeho architekta Karla Matusche. Po otevreni nesla jméno rakouske arcivévodkyne Zity a puvodne se zde nachazel i horsky hotel, dnes zde najdeme jen chatu CSOP, kde lze domluvit pristup na rozhlednu. Pekny popis Blatenského vrchu i rozhledny ma na svych webovych strankach kolega cacher Kapsa. Je tam video i spousta fotografii, tak doporucuji jejich zkouknuti.
Blatna´s hill (1043 meters altitude), the peak 1,5 km north-eastward from Horní Blatná is the part of the Jáchymov´s highlands. On the peak we find granite rock´s formations and boulders, on the hillside there are sometimes detritus. I recommend to visit „Ledová jáma“ (remains of the middle ages tin panning) and „Vlcí jáma“ (it is depression of the one biggest mine in this area – mine Wolfgang). From Horní Blatná you can use the nature trail, which will take you to the peak. Direct in the small town is a small museum of tins. The lookout on the peak is 21 m high and it is built from the woods and stones and it came from the year 1913. It was bulit by association for winter sports under the design of Cheb architect Karel Matusch. After opening it was named after Austrian duchess Zita and originally there was a mountain hotel too. Today we can find here only the cottage of CSOP, where you can ask about the access to the lookout.
