Geocache Description:

Easy micro in an urban vineyard.

I have passed by and shopped at this strip mall many times without realizing there was a vineyard planted here. The vineyard was planted as a major part of the landscaping here. When this mall was conceived, the owner wanted the vineyard to look as it would had 100 years ago, thus the grape vines were not trellised as most vines are nowadays, but instead look like bushes.

Though used mainly as landscaping, the vineyard is maintained for wine production. The grapes are harvested yearly and made into wine which is donated to local charities.

Walk around the property, take a look at the vineyard, and find the cache. This strip mall is a good place to grab a bite to eat if you are hungry, as there are many places to chose from here.

The cache is in a camouflaged Altoids container and contains a Susan B Anthony dollar for the first to find along with a couple of wine charms, grape eraser, and other small trade items, geocache note, logsheet, and pen.

7/4/2008 update: Cache container is now a film canister.

5/2/2017 update: Vineyard on the Allen Street side of the shopping center has been replaced by white roses, but the rest of the vineyard on the Santa Teresa Blvd and Blossom Hill Rd sides still remain.

Extra points if you can identify the grape varietal.
