ROAD WARRIOR SERIES Fast on and off access from the highway - Road Warrior Series Cache 1 along I-84 in Danbury Connecticut. Exit 1 Welcome to Connecticut
This is the first of a four part series of Road Warrior Caches along I-84 in Connecticut. Once you have completed all four caches you will receive the official designation of “Connecticut I-84 Road Warrior”. To achieve this highly coveted title however you will need to rack up some miles.
We also expect to make an Interstate 95 series as well as some other state Road Warrior caches.
While in the area you may also want to check out Zurcher's Rest Area Cache just one exit further eastbound - GCKPAM
We always like to give credit where it is due and our Road Warrior caches were inspired by the Mass Pike Series by Stargeezer see GCNMVM, GCNMVC and the others. We really liked the concept so we wanted to emulate the technique with our own style.
Since most Road Warriors do not have time for extensive searching we made these caches easy road access and easy to find.
The caches are small so please limit exchanges to small TBs, $WheresGeorges or other small items. We will start off with two $WG dollars in each one – if you take one please leave one - It won’t cost you nuthin :)
FTF is a scratch lottery ticket in three of the four caches and one cache will have a Honey Wolf Wild Card Pack.
The First to complete all four caches and achieve “Connecticut Road Warrior” status will receive 24 hours advance notice of where we placed a winning Honey Wolf Wild Card Pack with a Joker Wild Card.
You should be able to exit the highway, find the cache, and be back on the highway within 15 minutes or less.
This cache was moved from the original location and is now 2 miles from the exit ramp. This is a bit further from the highway then we initially intended. However the drive from the highway is a direct straight shot and the revised location has a great deal of historic value and appeal. We decided that the trade off was well worth it -
Directions - off exit 1 drive South bound on Saw Mill rd about 2 miles - park in the pull off area by the cemetary gate or choose a safe alternate parking spot.
