Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden on the outskirts of the Fenland village of Sutton in the Isle, which is just off the A142.

The cache is very close to the site of the old Sutton Station which closed in 1964. None of the original station buildings have survived but parts of the old platform are still visible in places. More information can be found on the link above: "related webpage".

It was originally named "Jack and Holly's Cache1" after the original cache owner's little niece and nephew, before being adopted into the SideTracked series of caches near stations: http://www.sidetrackedseries.info/ It is now in its second incarnation, a medium sized Cliplock box.

It is ground level from the old station platform, or chest height if you're at track level. Less prickly from below but more adventurous from the platform! Please re-hide and re-cover well.

If you approach this cache from Station Road, you will probably see the sign stating that the track is private, although there is no such sign at the other end. I'm not sure if this is actually a right of way - it's shown as being one on Open Street Map, and obviously the sign says differently although I've never known anyone be challenged. There is a longer route around if you carry on to the end of Station Road and go through the gate; I'll leave it up to you which way you decide to go!
