Hranicní zámecek je významná architektonická památka lednicko-valtického areálu, vybudována rodem Lichtenštejnu v letech 1816-1819 u vesnicky Hlohovec, v tesné blízkosti Hlohoveckého rybníka. Hranicní zámecek je vzdálen 15 km od okresního mesta Breclavi. Nápis na fasáde stavby Josefa Popellacka z let 1826-1827: "Zwischen Österreich und Mähren" nám pripomíná, že hranice mezi Moravou a Dolním Rakouskem vedla až do roku 1920 po jiné linii, než kde jsme na ni zvyklí dnes. Hranicní zámecek byl postaven z jedné poloviny na území Moravy a druhou polovinou stál na pude Dolního Rakouska. V soucasné dobe slouží Hranicní zámecek jako restaurace s celorocním provozem. Soucástí areálu zámecku je i nove postavený hotel. Malebná krajina obklopující zámecek s hotelem je plná historických památek Lednicko-valtického areálu, které lákají ke zhlédnutí. Nejznámejšími jsou Lednický a Valtický zámek s prilehlými parky, jež jsou prístupné verejnosti. Okolí hotelu je rájem ornitologu, entomologu, rybáru, myslivcu a houbaru. The Frontier chateau is an important architectural monument of the Lednice - Valtice natural range.. The chateau was built by the Liechtenstein dynasty during 1816-1819 in the vicinity of the Hlohovec pond near by village of Hlohovec. The Frontier chateau is 15 km far from the district town of Breclav. A graffito on frontage of building put up by Josef Popellack from years 1826-1827: "Zwischen Österreich und Mähren" reminds us borderline between Moravia and lower Austria crosscut Frontier chateau until year 1920. The picturesque Lednice-Valtice natural range surrounding the chateau and hotel complex is rich by atractive historical monuments for sightseeing. The most famous are the Lednice and Valtice chateaus with their adjacent parks, both are open to the public. The neighbourhood of the hotel is a paradise for ornithology, entomology, fishing, hunting and pick uping of mushroom. This easy multichace brings you to the Frontier chateau.
