Geocache Description:

This cache is on land managed by the Forestry Commission so please check out the New Forest Guidelines and stick to the rules so that we can continue to cache within the borders of the National Park. Flat location but the undergrowth may cause some problems.

This is part of the Solent Way Series placed by Nobby.nobbs and Kitty Hawk and though intended to be done separately they can be done as part of a longer trek.

The cache is NOT placed on the ruins which are in private grounds and out of bounds. St Leonard's Tithe Barn was attached to a Knights Templar perceptory, and the ruins of St Leonard s chapel can be glimpsed in the area to the north of the barn.

Rest on the bench from where you can see the ruins properly. The cache is a 35mm cannister and is very close by, but as the site is overlooked some care needs to be taken to ensure it's not muggled. Please remember to bring a pen/pencil to sign the log.
