Geocache Description:

Park at N 50º 51.816, W 001º 23.306 where there are views over Southampton Water and the salt marshes. This is a good spot to watch the cruise liners go in and out of Southampton, and there is a picnic and play area here for a well deserved rest. Level terrain but tree cover might make GPS accuracy difficult.

This is part of the Solent Way Series placed by Nobby.nobbs and Kitty Hawk and though intended to be done separately they can be done as part of a longer trek.

This is a good spot to watch the cruise liners go in and out of Southampton.
The cache is not far away and is a small plastic container.

Nearby just across the level crossing is a spot known as Frost Lane Farm or Barry's Sanctuary where there are some donkeys, pot bellied pigs, chickens, ducks and geese. N50º 51.635, W001º 23.280. A nice spot for the kids to spend a few minutes.

The salt marsh is a nature reserve managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and is a good spot to see migrants at the right time of year. Access is possible but is very damp and quite honestly you'll see more from the car park spot with binoculars. Please take care to replace carefully so it is not exposed to the numerous dog walkers.
