Okay,
as you can see in the picture -- this webcam is a traffic camera located at
a roundabout in Lincoln. If you use your imagination a bit, you can
see the evergreen trees planted form a face -- with the exception of the nose.
That's where you come in. We need you to 'be da nose'!. Or if you prefer, bring
friends and be da nose, da eyebrows, da lips, da bags under da eyes. The sky
is the limit --- the only requirement is we gotta have a nose! NOTE: the roundabout
can be a fairly busy intersection depending upon the time of day, so please
exercise caution when crossing any streets.
Requirements:
GPS unit
Colleague that has access to a PC with web access
Wireless phone (or you can just estimate when you'll be on location)
What you need
to do:
Head to the coordinates
Watch for traffic as you approach your destination
Once you have located the coordinates, face north and look up to
the light pole to the northeast --- the webcam is up there somewhere.
To indicate that
you're a geocacher --- hold both arms in the air for the camera.
It may sound silly, but it does make a big difference in the final photo.
