Geocache Description:

Kenfig, now a National Nature Reserve, was once a thriving town. In late medieval times huge storms took their toll and the town was engulfed beneath thousands of tons of sand. For the last 700 years, nature has colonised the sand and the area is now home for thousands of species of animals and plants. The only trace left today of the ancient Borough is the castle keep which rises out of the northern dunes.

You can park in the Kenfig Nature Reserve if you want a longer walk or the landlord of the Prince of Wales Pub has given permission to use his carpark at N 51 31.336 W 003 43.551(although please do not use this at very busy times).
The walk is an easy walk down to the pool. This side is much quieter than the side which is usually accessed from the car park.
When you reach the first picture then you are approximately 50 yds away from the cache.
