This the fifth of our Rhondda caches involves
over 250 foot of ascent that is steep in places and can be slippery
in wet weather.
You will be rewarded by fine views of the mountain and the town
of Treorchy below, from where you will find plenty of places for
refreshments after your visit. Dogs must be kept on a lead as there
are many sheep around, and gates closed behind you. We don't
consider this cache suitable for todders or very young children as
there is a steep climb near to the cache that requires sure
footing. The cache is well hidden so don't be surprised if you have
to spend a bit of time seeking it out.
Our other nearby caches are
The Rhondda cache ,
The Rhondda Travel bug boot camp ,
Forest Amble, and
Rhondda fiesta.
One reason for us choosing our caches here in the beautiful
Rhondda Valley is to allow others to explore the beauty of the area
where we live. Once scarred by the many Mines that were once in
abundance in the valley - the Rhondda valley has now been
transformed to what it once was before mining began in the Valleys
- a place of much beauty.
The cache includes at start a dinky pet with 101 games, sega
game, a pack of playing cards, pkt of balloons, and a log book and
pencil.
