Geocache Description:

Queens Park Suspension Bridge was originally built in 1852 to give those living in the affluent Queens Park area a convenient short cut into the town.

In August of 1922 the bridge was demolished when Chester Corporation took over responsibility for it, but it was rebuilt then reopened on April 18th 1923, and restored to it's present glory in 1998.

It offers some fantastic views of the River Dee and also of the Groves, Chester's riverside promenade where you can find refreshments, pubs, landing stages (some offering pleasure boat trips), a 19th century bandstand and toilet facilities.

The cache itself is a 'screw top' Microcache Capsule.

Stealth will be required.

** PLEASE NOTE **
There is no need to climb anywhere on the bridge structure to retrieve the cache. That would be dangerous and silly, so please don't do it!
