The event cache meet will take place over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of September 2005
The event cache meet is primarily a camping event and will take place over the weekend of the Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of September 2005 although The Time Lord and Team Maddie are planning on arriving on the Wednesday night and anyone else will be welcome to join us then as well. Everyone is welcome whether camping or not.
The campsite is
‘The Green Caravan Park’ (although I believe they will permit caravans in other hues).
They accept Tents, Camper Vans and Caravans. Electric hook-ups are only available in the caravan area of the site although the owners will reluctantly permit a limited number of tents in there as well. She is tentatively keeping these sites open if anyone wants to avail themselves of a pitch although preference will be afforded to the caravan/camper people. The campsite is situated behind a pub on the banks of a small river.
The rates are as follows:
Caravan or tent, 2 adults £8.00
Trailer tent, 2 adults £9.75
Additional adult £2.00
Child (3 - 14) £1.50
Electrical hook up £2.00
One person tent £6.00
Pup tent with 2 children £4.00
Pup tent with 1 child £2.00
Dog £0.50
The pub, ‘The Inn On The Green’, is very pleasant and has an ample sized beer garden with a large barbecue grill which they have told us we may use to cook our own food etc. A barbecue is planned for the Saturday but the timing of this will be determined once we have a better feel for the numbers of those staying over. The pub also offers B & B and will have six rooms available by September (Phone number-01588 650105). The rates are approximately £20 per person per night for en-suite and £17 for ‘hot and cold’.
If you wish to attend please log the following details on the web page
Number of adults
Number of children (3-14)
Tent/caravan/camper
Number of tents etc.
Dates attending (number of nights)
Number of dogs, ostriches, aardvarks etc.
