Geocache Description:

Take U.S. 58 from Damascus, Virginia toward Konnarock. Park at the given coordinates.The cache is only a few feet from parking.

The Straight Branch originates up on Straight Mountain and is joined by the Feathercamp Branch before it empties into the Whitetop Laural Creek. There ia a pretty waterfall on the Straight Branch that you cannot see from the road so you might as well stop to see and find a cache.

This cache is a magnetic key case micro because we could not find a good safe hiding spot for a larger container. We thought you may want a larger container so we hid the Straight Mountain Trail Bonus Cache (GCNX4H). The coordinates to the bonus cache are found in the cache container. Please enter them into your GPSr and leave the original numbers in the cache. Since this is a micro please bring your own pen/pencil.

The site is kid friendly but don't let toddlers go too close to the falls. It is best to stay on the falls side of the guard rail.
