This cache is located on the Buffalo Mtn. Preserve in Floyd County,
VA. For directions see Benchmark:FZ1365 at www.geocaching.com.
Moderate climb on gravel road with great 360 deg. views of the Blue
Ridge Mountains.
Near to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, VA lies
Buffalo Mountain Nature Preserve. Public access facilities within
the preserve include a small parking area and trail to the summit.
The trail is a steep but moderately graded path complete with
switchbacks that lead geocachers to a peak of 3971 feet and a
breathtaking view of Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
