Geocache Description:

Voted NoVAGO's 2005 Most Outstanding Cache Hike. Located in another beautiful linear Fairfax County Park, access is off Vale and Leeds Roads, or Hunter Valley from Hunter Mill. Three stages, game trails, and sand/gravel/dirt paths...only a slight amount of “true” bushwhacking.

The first stage is a small container, it contains the coordinates for the second cache location. The second stage is a “different” container, it contains the coordinates for the third/final cache location. The coordinates are typed and laminated in strip form please ensure they are still in the "containers" when you return them to their "hiding" spots. The final cache location is a 30cal ammo can, hidden in a very traditional manner. Although this cache could be done at lunchtime, the round trip distance from the parking location is approximately 2.34 miles. Also, note that this is a lowland area and it could become very wet and muddy after rainfall. Stick to the game trails and you’ll keep your feet dry and your boots clean. Take your time, explore another section of Difficult Run that you probably didn’t know existed, and above all........have fun!

NOTE: The road intersection of Vale and Leeds is a blind curve, below a hill, please use extra caution when exiting and entering that intersection.

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy
