Geocache Description:

This is the first cache locate in Bellingham, MA. It is a puzzle cache designed to get to know this town. The coordinates above are not of the cache, but the parking lot to the common. You will be taking a stroll around the common, collecting information in order to calculate the final coordinates. The actual cache is a green ammo box hidden within 2 miles of the common. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed on the common. This cache should be snow friendly.

Where the letters A through J are numbers that are calculated by visiting landmarks within the common. Locate the Bandstand in the center of the common. That is where your journey will begin.

A = The last digit of the year on the seal at the center of the bandstand

Now head EAST towards the golden cup. You will encounter a granite pillar along the way.
B = the number of letters of the house described on the title of the photograph.

Continue towards the golden cup.
C= Last digit of the year the golden cup was erected

Now travel in a counterclockwise direction and stop at each granite pillar along the way.

D = last digit on the year Bellingham's first town common came to an end
E = last digit of the year of the photograph showing Old Thayer Store & Post Office
F = Which floor of FireStation #1 housed the community hall?
G = How many woolen mills are featured on the Maple St photograph of North Bellingham?
H = Governor Bellingham's name is forever perserved in a famous literary work. How many words are in the title?
I = last digit in the year the First Baptist Church as built
J = In the photograph labelled, The Town Center - Circa 1898, how many MAJOR landmarks are mentioned in the description?
