Der Höllenberg ist 93 Meter über NN und ist an der höchsten Stelle bei N 53° 15.083 E 010° 08.185 mit einem TP markiert. Der Cache liegt vom TP ca. in Richtung 85° in rund 60 m in einem Krater. Der Wald lädt zum Spazieren ein. Es ist in der erweiterten Umgebung abwechslungsreiche Natur zu finden.
Du erreichst den Geocache über verschiedene Möglichkeiten.
An den Park-Koords beginnt der landschaftlich schönste und abwechslungsreichste Weg zum Cache. Gehe von hier aus direkt den dichten Weg rechts rein und halte Dich bei der nächsten Weggabelung links. Gehe den schmalen Weg den Höllenberg rauf. Biege am Ende rechts ab und gehe zur Spitze des Höllenbergs. Navigiere von hier aus zum Cache. Natürlich kannst Du auch einen anderen Weg zum Cache nehmen.
Zum Krater (Angaben ohne Gewähr)
Dieser Krater ist ein Überrest von einem Bombentrichter aus dem zweiten Weltkrieg, wie ältere Einheimische berichten. Nach meinen Recherchen gab es bei Vierhöfen einen Scheinflugplatz mit Holzflugzeugen, der die Alliierten in die Irre führen sollte. Die Royal Air Force fand durch den Secret Service heraus, dass es es sich um eine Attrappe handelt. Dann warfen sie als Scherz Bombenattrappen ab. Es kamen aber auch Sprengbomben zum Einsatz. Wenn die Flugzeuge auf dem Rückweg waren und noch Bomben an Bord hatten, haben sie diese “in den Sand gesetzt”. Mit Bomben an Bord durften die Flieger nicht wieder landen.
Ich fand diesen Geocache 2005.
Dies ist der erste von mir gefundene Geocache. Ich habe ihn 13 Jahre später vom Owner adoptiert und grunderneuert. Das ist Ehrensache!

Bitte behandle den Geocache so, als wäre es Dein Eigener. Hebe ihn vorsichtig und tarne ihn wieder gut. Achte auf Muggles; etwas Stealth-Modus ist immer angebracht. Grundsätzlich: Kein Geocache der Welt ist es wert, sein Leben zu riskieren. Du handelst absolut eigenverantwortlich und aus eigener Motivation. Ich distanziere mich von jeglicher Haftung und animiere niemanden meine Geocaches zu suchen.

The Höllenberg is 93 meters above sea level and is marked with a TP at the highest point at N 53° 15.083 E 010° 08.185. The cache is located from the TP about 85° in about 60 m in a crater. The forest invites You for a walk. In the extended environment You find a varied nature.
You can reach the geocache via different possibilities.
At the park coords begins the most scenic and varied way to the cache. From here, go straight on the dense path on the right and keep left at the next fork. Go up the narrow path up to the Höllenberg. Turn right at the end and go to the top of the Höllenberg. Navigate from here to the cache. Of course, You can also take a different route to the cache.
About the crater (information without guarantee)
This crater is a remnant of a bomb crater of the World War II, as older locals report. According to my research there were a fake airfield with wooden planes near Vierhöfen, which should lead the Allies in the wrong. The Royal Air Force found out through the Secret Service that it was a dummy. Then they threw off bomb dummies as a joke. But explosive bombs were also used. When the planes were on their way back and still had bombs on board, they "put them in the sand". With bombs on board, the planes were not allowed to land again.
I found this geocache in 2005.
This is the first geocache I found. I adopted it 13 years later from the owner and renewed it. That is a matter of honor!
