Brighton Travel Bug Hotel (UK) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Saltdean Seekers: Even though we placed this cache we had no luck in finding it. Whether it had been vandalised or just not put back in the correct location we do not know. Unfortunately we have concluded that it has come to the end of its useful life. An ideal time to archive it as it has no trackables logged in it.

It did well, it is a few days over 18 years old.

Thank you to all the geocachers who visited and left their TBs to be moved on.

Geocache Description:

This cache is an easy to find dropping off and picking up point for travel bugs at the junction of the two busiest roads in East Sussex.

Note: The cache was relocated on the 2nd October 2005, then again on 30 July 2010. Almost 5 years muggle-free! The logbook was filled and a replacement installed in July 2011. (Feb 2014: A further (3rd) notebook was added. This cache has been eight year's muggle-free. The cache is completely replaced with new box, logbook and fresh ziplocks. Sadly we had to mark six TBs as missing.)

Many cachers have regularly noted the TBs in this cache are not logged. PLEASE LOG YOUR TBs IN AND OUT OF THIS CACHE. Thank you.

The cache is situated within 2 minute’s drive of the junction of the busy A27 East/West bound dual carriageway, and the North/South bound A23 leading to London, the A25 and all London Airports. The nearest airport TB Hotel is Gatwick Bug Hotel MK 2 (West Sussex), waypoint number GCJDA9.

It is hidden to the east of the approach road to Waterhall Playing Fields, off Mill Road, which joins the roundabout at the junction of the A23 and A27 slip road. Park in the layby opposite the North the end of the tunnel under the motorway. You are about 2 minutes walk from the cache, which is now to the East of the Sussex Border path.

Please do not leave gifts / swaps in this hotel, as it is intended for the short term residence of travel bugs, geocoins and other hitch-hikers!
