Geocache Description:

This cache is located near Blacksod at the south of the Mullet peninsula in Co. Mayo.

To reach it take the R313 west from Belmullet and heading towards Blacksod. Car parking is at N54° 05.733' W010° 05.131' and from there it's only a short walk to the cache. The terrain is a mixture of bog and large stones and can get quite muddy and slippy when wet. Good waterproof shoes are recommended!

The cache itself is an ammo box containing amongst other things, a log book and a disposable camera which is to be left in the cache. Please take a picture of yourself and note the number in the log book.

This is best visited in good clear weather when the scenery is at its best. To the west of the cache site can be seen the Inishkea islands, home to Ireland's largest population of Grey Seals.
