The coordinates above take you to a monarch butterfly habitat, which is about 290 feet from the cache (as of 7-10-05). Go to the coordinates posted above, then use the directions below to find the cache. Look for a tupperware container containing a logbook, rubber stamp, stamp pad, pen and stash note. PLEASE LEAVE ALL OF THESE ITEMS IN THE CACHE.
Other guidelines:
- In the logbook use the pen to identify yourself and the date of your find. Include with your entry your personal rubber-stamped impression, sticker, doodle OR a poem about the season you are visiting.
- Stamp your personal logbook with the rubber stamp in the cache as a keepsake. (You may wish to put the name of the cache and date on it.)
- Trade items are not required but there is room for sig items. I prefer you not leave TBs since this cache has a history of being muggled.
Directions from the Monarch Butterfly Habitat to the Cache:
The coordinates take you to where the monarchs fly. Behind you is the main trail. Take the main trail left, toward the beach. When you come to a canopy of eucalyptus and cypress, go left between 2 large eucalyptus trees. Directly ahead you will see some old fallen trees. You may sit here to contemplate the ocean and find the cache hidden in a shelter of wood, ice plant and bark. No poison oak here. Yay!
