Geocache Description:

Just a quick micro 'cache-n-dash' for all of you Geocachers driving across our fair state. Of course, the local NEOGEO cachers are welcome too! No toll money needed if you know the back way in.

Welcome to one of Ohio's newer travel plazas. This one is named, PORTAGE. So named after the action that the local Native Americans had to do to get around. They had to portage, over land, from one river to the next. Carrying canoes and all their stuff. I bet they were in good physical shape!

This plaza is real spiffy inside. Many choices for food and drink, large clean bathrooms, a gift store, even have laundry and shower facilities available! Bet the truckers like that!

I've named this cache after a song sung by the rock band: Stone Temple Pilots (STP), Interstate Love Song. Who doesn't love the interstate highway system in this country? I do, Road Trip!

Have a good trip across our state and Cache on! the hiking viking.

Geochums!
