Geocache Description:

Kuparivuori on korkea kallio Naantalissa meren rannalla. Alueella on mm. leirintä-alue ja urheilupuisto. Kallion laelta näkyy Suomen Presidentin kesäpaikka Kultaranta. Kallion läpi menee myös tunneli, joka on avattu 1988 ja on 323 metriä pitkä. Ennen tunnelin valmistumista liikenne kulki vanhaa Ukko-Pekan siltaa pitkin, joka jäi sittemmin jalankulkijoiden käyttöön. Kallion alapuolella on myös pieni uimapaikka. Ole varovainen, koska kalliot ovat jyrkkiä ja talvella myös jäisiä ja liukkaita.

Kuparivuori is a steep rock by the sea in Naantali. There is a camping ground and sportspark. The Finnish President's summer residence is visible from the top of the rock. Through the rock runs a 323m long tunnel-road, which was opened for traffic in 1988. Before the tunnel was completed, the traffic passed along the old bridge of Ukko-Pekka. Nowadays the bridge is used by pedestrians. Beneath the Kuparivuori rock you can also find a little beach for swimming. Be careful though, because the cliff are steep and can be slippery during the winter months.
