Geocache Description:

Tämä kätkö sijaitsee Turun kaupungissa, n. 3 km keskustasta. Lopullisen paikan näköalat ovat varmasti vaivan arvoiset, luvassa on perusturkulaisia maisemia ehkä hieman poikkeavasta vinkkelistä. Mysteerin ratkaiseminen pimeällä ja hankikelillä on osiltaan todella hankalaa.

Aloituskoordinaatit vievät sinut aloituspaikalle (visit link) Varsinaiselle kätkölle pääset seuraamalla ohjeita. Lähistölle pääset kätevästi esim. bussilla nro 30. Taskulaskin, kynä ja paperi ovat kiva juttu.

Aloituskoordinaateissa 682=x ja 248=y. X ja y ovat muuttujia, edelliset ovat aina pohjana uusille koordinaateille.

This cache locates in Turku, about 3 km from the centre. The given coordinates take you to the starting point (visit link) Follow the instructions and you’ll find your way to the cache. Bus nr. 30 (to Majakkaranta) brings you near the starting point. Darkness and snow will make more challenge.

In starting coordinates 682=x and 248=y. Letters x and y are variables, numbers before are always the basis of the new ones. Calculator, pen and a piece of paper are quite useful.

1. paikalla
Vähennä itäisten koordinaattien minuuteista yksi.
Kuinka monta kerrosta rakennuksessa on sen porraskäytävän nimitaulun mukaan? Kerro määrä luvulla 35. Kun lisäät saamasi tulon lukuun y, saat uuden y:n.

Laske rakennuksen parvekkeet, lisää lukuun 29 sekä x, saat uuden x:n.

2. paikalla
Lisää edellisten molempien koordinaattien minuutteihin yksi. Muista, että sekunnit ovat viimeksi saadut x ja y!

Laske maisemassa näkyvän sillan lipputangot ja kerro tämä luku seitsemällä. Kerro tulo 22:lla ja lisää lukuun 21. Uusi x on edellinen x vähennettynä laskutoimituksen tuloksella.

Y:n saamiseksi vähennä vanhasta y:stä 517.

3. paikalla
Laske jalustan laatassa olevat yksittäiset numerot yhteen (1+9+4+ jne.). Vähennä summasta 2. Lisää saamasi luku x:ään = uusi x.

Uuden y:n saat lisäämällä vanhaan y:hyn luvun 17. Ja näin sinulla on lopullisen kätkön koordinaatit.

Point 1
You must take off one minute of the eastern coordinates.
How many floors there are in the building according to the table in the hall of the building? Multiply the amount with 35. When you add the result to y, you’ll have new y.

Count the balconys of the building. Add 29 and x, you’ll have new x.

Point 2
Add to both coordinates one minute. Keep in mind that the seconds are the ones you calculated before.

Count the flagpoles you see in the bridge and multiply them with number seven. Multiply again with 22 and add 21. Old x minus the result is your new x.

New y is simply old one minus 517.

Point 3
Count all the numbers in the plate of the pedestal (not the mine) together (1+9+4+ etc.). Subtract 2. Add the number you had on x = new x.

You’ll have new y by adding 17 to old one. And there you have it! Coordinates to final cache.
