Geocache Description:

This is the site of Nazareth’s first Moravian graveyard, called “God’s Acre” in use from 1744 to 1762. Wrongly thought to be a burial ground for the Indians from a nearby village, there are actually only 4 Indians buried here. Robert Haas created an American marble monument on site, dedicated by the Moravian Historical Society in 1867 at the same time the original pavilion was constructed. The monument was inscribed with the names of the 67 Moravians including 4 Indians, which are buried here.

This site has been recently vandalised quite heavily, please be respectful, and CITO when you are able to... thank you!

Enjoy this small and secluded park area and take in the fresh air with views of the valley in front of you, see a view of the old Nazareth International Raceway that is currently being torn down, notice a panoramic view of Bethlehem and Allentown that you probably haven't seen. If you really want to enjoy this site, try timing your visit with either the sunrise, or the sunset, picture the area below as undeveloped and imagine a small Indian campfire smoking up from the valley below, or the sounds of the early Moravian church bell welcoming the morning to the townspeople...please use your imagination here, and enjoy.
The cemetary here is maintained by the Holy Family congregation and had no historic graves, however is preserved on a beautiful landscape with an impressive and quiet view...rest peacefully.

The cache itself is a small rubbermaid container which may fit small items (icluding smaller TB's) with the log book and pen. Please return as found and make sure the lid is closed tight.
