This state park is open year round, but the best time to see it all is from Memorial Day To Labor Day. During this season you can still walk around an observe the buildings. Smith house museum with out buildings, common to a 1800 farm era setting, lots of nice hiking trails, Smith Cemetery, swimming pool, picnic area with pavilions, game courts, pleasant scenery makes this park an enjoyable hiking experience. Please leave the trail clean for future walkers to enjoy.

The Watters Smith Farm is also listed in the National Register of historical places in Harrison County, WV.
