Geocache Description:

The Old Pullman-Moscow Highway has an interesting building near it.

This round barn was built in 1917, before electricity reached these parts. With the cows headed in to the center feed trough, the outside windows gave good lighting to the farmer who was milking them.

A silo in the center now holds a basketball hoop, as there is no longer any livestock on this farm.

The structure is 60' in diameter, 62' high, inc. the 24' cupola. Roof trusses are laminated Ponderosa pine and the structure is Douglas fir.

Please note: the barn is private property so the cache is a bit removed, on public land within sight of the barn. The barnhouse's current tenant is a friendly sort who doesn't mind persons looking around, but be aware of the dogs. You can enjoy the view from a distance.
