Même si tu n'es pas scout, tu peux toujours l'essayer.
Pour te rendre au point de départ tu peux emprunter le
Réseau cyclable des Grandes Fourches
OK en hiver!
Cette cache mettra à l'épreuve ta ténacité et ta perspicacité.
Elle nécessite environ 4 heures de dur travail surtout si tu la
fais en vélo!
Elle se déroule du côté nord et sud de la rivière Magog à
Sherbrooke, tantôt en ville, tantôt sur le réseau des pistes
cyclables et sentiers piétonniers du réseau riverain de la rivière
Magog.
Pour la trouver, tu devras réussir deux épreuves.
Alors, SOIS PRÊT!
Épreuve # 1 - Positionnement au GPS
Tu dois trouver les coordonnées de
12 petites étoiles en métal de 50mm environ qui sont
fixées soit sur des poteaux de téléphone soit sur des arbres.

Point 1
Quelles sont les coordonnées de l'arbre situé le long du sentier
piétonnier qui longe la rivière du côté nord. Situé dans le boisé
de la Sauvagine, l'arbre est à environ 500 mètres à l'est du point
de départ, en dessous du pont Maurice Gingues sur l'autoroute 410.
En face de l'arbre, de l'autre côté de la rivière, il y a une
grosse maison blanche et brune qu'on voit sur la photo # 1 ?
Point 2
Quelles sont les coordonnées du poteau situé sur la rue Marconi, en
face de l'entrée de TVA, qu'on voit sur la photo # 2 ?
Point 3
Quelles sont les coordonnées du poteau situé en face du Séminaire
Salésien dont l'adresse est le 135 rue Don Bosco et qu'on voit sur
la photo # 3 ?
Point 4
Quelles sont les coordonnées de l'arbre situé au centre du
terre-plein en face du 2715 Portland et qu'on voit sur la photo # 4
?

Quelles sont les coordonnées de l'arbre situé au centre du

Épreuve # 2 - Dessin
Tu dois utiliser
la grille ci-jointe que tu imprimeras afin d'y
positionner les coordonnées des 12 points.
En premier, relie les points 1,2 et 3
Relie ensuite les points 4,5 et 6
Relie ensuite les points 7, 8 et 9
Relie ensuite les points 10, 11 et 12
Relie ensuite le point 2 au point 8
Relie enfin le point 5 au point 11
Quel dessin obtiens-tu?
Pour me prouver que tu as réussi l'épreuve, tu devras m'envoyer un
e-mail de ton dessin.
Maintenant la cache…Bien sûr la cache, je l'oubliais
celle-là…
Regarde bien au centre de ton dessin, la cache s'y trouve!
Vas-y et trouve le contenant cylindrique noir de 100mm de diamètre
par 180mm de hauteur!
Étant donné qu'il s'agit d'une cache Scout, tous les objets qui s'y
trouvent sont des objets scouts. Alors si tu prends un objet dans
la cache, tu devras y laisser un autre objet qui se rapporte au
scoutisme. Le but est de faire de cette cache un trésor d'objets
scouts!
N'apporte pas de gros objets, la cache est petite.
N'oublie pas de remplir le carnet de bord et de bien replacer la
cache exactement comme tu l'a trouvée.

This cache will test your tenacity and your perspicacity . By
bike, you'll need 4 hours. It takes place on the north and south
sides of the Magog river in Sherbrooke, sometimes in the city,
sometimes on the bike routes and pedestrian paths of the Réseau
riverain de la rivière Magog.
To find the cache, you'll have to succeed in two trials.

You must find the coordinates of

Now, you must use the enclosed
grille ( print it ) and point the 12 coordinates founded
in trial # 1.
First join points 1,2 and 3
Then join points 4,5 and 6
Then join points 7,8 and 9
Then join points 10,11 and 12
Then join point 2 to point 8
Finally join point 5 to point 11
What do you get ?
In order to prove me that you succeeded, you must e-mail your
drawing to me.
And now the cache…Of course the cache, I had almost forgotten
it…
In the very center of your drawing, la cache is right there!
Go ahead and find the black 4"x 7" cylindrical container!
Since it's a Scout cache, all the items within the cache relate to
the Scout movement. Therefore if you pick anyting in the cache, you
shall leave another scout item. The goal is to make this cache a
scout treasure!
Don't bring large objects, the cache is relatively small.
Don't forget to log your visit and replace the cache in the exact
same position as you found it.
