This is the first in a series of caches at
forgotten places where craziness was king, where most of the
pranks were merry and many a brain cell was short-circuited.
Starting in the mid 1960's through the mid 1980's the building
in the front of this lot served up lots and lots of early
Psychedelic music from bands that included the Grateful Dead,
Jefferson Airplane and Quicksilver Messenger Service. It was once
called the Bold Knight and sported a suit of Armour on top of the
sign. Some may remember the addition of an arrow through the
Knights hip. It was the scene of many Lockheed Missiles and Space
Corporation Christmas Banquets as well. It is still a restaurant
today, serving up something a bit less spicy.
